ancient greek quotations
Who said this quotation about starvation?

I recall reading a certain quotation about starvation on some quote site quite awhile ago. Paraphrasing it said something along the lines of “To a starving man [something] tastes like the sweetest [something]“. I think it may have been an Ancient Greek philosopher/playwright/poet…maybe even Ancient Roman, but I’m leaning more towards the former. This is driving me nuts. Does anybody know?

Perhaps you saw a Latin translation of Socrates, but there are many variants of the same or similar thought.
