
How important is the diet portion to success with Tony Horton’s P90X?
I do not ask because I eat poorly, but rather because I eat pretty healthy and I just have to eat all day long to not be starving. I eat my breakfast (either a greek yogurt smoothie with fresh fruit blended in, lox bagel, or greek yogurt with fresh fruit cut up into it), reasonable lunch (turkey or ham sandwich with a thin smear of mayo, spinach, mustard, tomatoes, onions on whole wheat), and same with dinner (chicken, rice, a veggie or two). In between I snack on almonds or other fresh fruits. I just don’t know how strict one has to be with the food (7 servings of protein in a day seems like a lot & 1 fruit a day too little) in the fat shredder phase 1 portion. I love the workouts and, although I’ve only been on them for a week, I think they are the best so far.

The fat shredder phase is more for jump starting your metabolism. Since you already seem to have a good grasp on your diet I wouldn’t change much. I do whole heartedly recommend some form of protein/recovery drink after your work out. Also if you are not having a snack in between breakfast and lunch, add that one in.
