How They Compare

Number of channels – DIRECTV has more than 255 channels, which includes 73 XM radio channels. DISH Network has more than 355 channels, including 52 music channels and 60 Sirius radio channels.
Cheapest programming price – DIRECTV’s least expensive program package is $29.99 a month for their 40-channel Family package, and includes local channels. DISH Network’s cheapest program package is $19.99 a month for their Dish Family package, and local channels are $5 a month extra.
